About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and organised Volunteer Manager to lead and support our volunteer program.
In this role, you will coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, support, and recognition of volunteers, ensuring they are meaningfully engaged across our programs and aligned with our values.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, building community connections, and making a real local impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, and place volunteers across programs
- Deliver volunteer inductions, training, and ongoing support
- Maintain accurate volunteer records, compliance checks, and reporting
- Match volunteers to roles that suit their skills and interests
- Foster a positive and inclusive volunteer culture
- Coordinate volunteer recognition activities
- Ensure compliance with Child Safe Standards, OH&S, and relevant legislation
- Support staff to effectively engage volunteers in program delivery
About You
- Experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, or similar
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills
- Understanding of inclusive practices and working with diverse communities
- Knowledge of compliance requirements (Child Safe Standards, OH&S, privacy)
Desirable
- Qualification in community development or related field
- Experience in a Neighbourhood House or community setting
