I was Born in St. Helens, England and emigrated to Australia in 1975. I settled in The Basin and commenced working at Fibremakers in Bayswater.

Our children played basketball for The Basin Basketball Club where we volunteered in many positions. I was approached about the community house and was keen to participate when it was established.

I volunteered in the office and on the committee of management as well as the fundraising committee. I continue to volunteer on committee and social groups as well as tutor of patchwork.

In total I have been involved with The Basin Community House for thirty plus years.
